Tennis Bits is an arcade tennis game featuring a fun, colorful voxel art style. Characters, courts, referees, rackets, and balls are all constructed from blocks, creating a lighthearted and accessible feel.

Hitting the Ball and Timing

The core of Tennis Bits lies in reading the ball's direction and hitting it at the right moment. As the ball approaches, a white circle appears beneath your character, signaling that you need to prepare for the shot. A blue trajectory line also helps you track the ball's path. Observing these cues and reacting promptly allows for more accurate returns.

Power Bar System

The Power Bar is a key mechanic when hitting or serving. Shaped like a tennis racket, the bar is divided into color-coded levels ranging from gray and blue to green and orange.

The bar fills up as you hold down the input. The moment you release determines the shot's power. Releasing when the bar hits the maximum level allows you to execute a "Full Power" serve. This means serving isn't just about choosing a direction; you must also control the duration of your input to achieve the desired power level.

Serving with L and R

To start a serve, choose a left or right direction by tapping and holding the corresponding area. The Power Bar then appears and begins to fill.
Releasing at the right moment—when the bar reaches your desired level—determines the quality of the serve. While the mechanic is intuitive, executing powerful, accurate serves requires practice.

Controls

• Tap: Hit the ball as it approaches. Hold L: Touch and hold the left side to serve to the left.
• Hold R: Touch and hold the right side to serve to the right.
• Release: Let go to execute the serve based on the current Power Bar level.
