Flip Physics is a gymnastics simulation game with ragdoll physics where you control a character swinging on bars, doing aerial acrobatics and re-gripping the bars to perform impressive sequences of moves. It takes perfect timing, momentum, and body positioning to play the game. There are several maps and game modes, so feel free to use acrobatic techniques and overcome ever more complicated challenges.

How to Play Flip Physics: Swinging, Flipping, and Catching

In Flip Physics you are controlling a ragdoll-like athlete hanging from a bar. The idea is to build up momentum, to release at the right time, do flips in the air and catch the next bar. Sounds simple right? Well if you are just off in your timing or awkward in your body position, you can miss the bar. And then your whole sequence comes to a screeching halt.

Building Momentum and Adjusting Body Position

Before attempting any acrobatics, swing on the bar to build up momentum. The timing of your body adjustments directly influences your height, speed, and the direction of your rotation. You have different body positions to control your movement. Arch, Tuck, Layout and Pike are all body positions. Try these out and find the best way to swing and prepare for your aerial moves.

Executing Acrobatics and Re-gripping the Bar

Gather enough momentum and then let go at the right time to get your character airborne. You can change your body position in the air and do flips and rotations to make many different acrobatic moves. The most important thing is to time your regrasp on the next bar. Be mindful of the direction of your rotation and your body position to get a good approach and keep your momentum and keep your acrobatic sequence of moves going without interruption.

Creating Combos and Landing Solidly

One of the most fun things about Flip Physics is the freedom to link a wide variety of moves together in continuous performance sequences. Try swinging, flipping, spinning, letting go and grabbing the bar again to come up with your own custom combos. Practice each move individually before trying to string them all together. The more you’re familiar with your controls and the physics of the game, the more you’ll be able to do some complex technical sequences and improve your landing precision and balance.

Flip Physics Control Guide

These controls allow you to perform a variety of gymnastic poses and adjust your character’s movements.

  • Space - Release the bar

  • J / ▲ Arch – Arch your back

  • K / ▼ Tuck – Pull your body into a tuck

  • L / ► Layout – Extend your body straight

  • I / ◄ Pike – Fold your body at the waist

  • O Flash – Perform a "Flash" pose

  • U Squat – Squat down

  • S Stick – Stabilize your body for a solid landing

  • Q - Rotate to the left

  • W - Rotate to the right

  • Esc - Open the menu or pause the game

  • H - Toggle the control guide interface (show/hide)

Tips for Flip Physics Beginners

  • Build momentum first. Do not jump the gun with the bar. Feel the rhythm of the swing to propel your character higher.

  • Time it right: Watch your direction of travel and find the right moment to throw yourself into the air.

  • Try different body positions The Arch and Tuck positions change your rotation and Layout and Pike give you different control of your body.

  • Grab the bar first: A great flip isn’t enough, you need to be in the right place to grab the next bar.

  • Step-by-step practice: If you are new to the Build a Swing lesson, try holding the J or ▲ key as your character swings back and then releasing it as they swing forward. Adjust your timing to build momentum and reach greater heights.

Master the acrobatics in Flip Physics

Flip Physics is a fun experience using gymnastics, accurate control and physics based simulation. Success is not only about quick reflexes but also understanding how momentum, body position and timing affect every acrobatic maneuver. Each attempt is another chance to hone your technique and find new, complex pairings.

Begin with basic swings, practice dropping and catching the bars again and then move onto more complex stunts. Can you master all the moves and pull off the perfect Flip Physics performance?
