Dunkers is a physics-based 1v1 basketball game. The goal is simple: grab the ball and put it in your opponent's basket. However, the controls make every play far less predictable than in a standard basketball game.
Your character doesn't run or jump with precision. Every input can cause the body to lunge, tilt, or propel itself in an unexpected direction. Consequently, a successful dunk rarely comes from executing a complex button combo; instead, you must capitalize on your character's current momentum and try to maneuver both yourself and the ball toward the hoop.

Two players vie for the ball on the court. When your opponent is holding it, you can lunge to steal the ball or block their dunk attempt. Defense involves more than just standing in front of the hoop. The direction of your character's lunge significantly impacts the play. A well-timed lunge can block an opponent or deflect the ball, while a mistimed move might knock you right out of a defensive position.
Once you have the ball, the objective is to get close to the opponent's hoop and find the right angle to send the ball through the rim.
Dunkers stands out for its minimalist control scheme. However, fewer buttons doesn't mean every movement is easy to control.
You’ll need to get a feel for how your character reacts when moving left or right. Your timing and direction determine whether you lunge forward, fall back, or miss the ball entirely.
After a few matches, the game becomes less about the buttons and more about reading your character's momentum. You have to watch not only your opponent but also anticipate where your next lunge will take you.
Dunkers features an Arcade Mode for quick matches against the AI and a Career Mode that lets you progress through a series of games.
Career Mode also allows you to unlock additional characters as you advance. The characters feature diverse designs, ranging from basketball-inspired figures to more eccentric ones. This makes unlocking characters an integral part of the gameplay experience, rather than just a simple cosmetic change.
The game also includes a 2-Player mode. Two people can play on the same keyboard, turning unpredictable steals and dunks into head-to-head showdowns.
Left Arrow: Move or jump left
Right Arrow: Move or jump right
Player 1: Left and Right Arrow keys
Player 2: Z and X keys
Dunkers uses only a few controls, yet every jump can lead to a completely different play. Once you get the hang of the movement, those random steals and dunks transform into moves you can execute intentionally. After conquering the basketball court in Dunkers, you can switch to track and field with 100 Meters Race.
