Golf Solitaire Pro is a golf themed solitaire game. It mixes the traditional stacking of cards with the green lush environment of a golf course. The rules are easy enough, but to do well you need a bit of strategy and a good eye. This game is great for a quick game or two, without having to learn complicated rules.
The main goal of Golf Solitaire Pro is to clear all the cards from the table before the draw pile runs out. An active card is displayed at the bottom of the screen; you can select cards from the table that are one rank higher or lower than this active card.
For example, if the active card is a 7, you may choose a 6 or an 8. The chosen card is now the new active card and the sequence continues. Aces also have a special rule. Aces can connect with both a 2 and a King. Card suits are not relevant to play.
The fun lies in creating the longest possible sequence. Each consecutive card you pick increases your score and opens up new options. Therefore, avoid rushing to pick the first card you see; a strategic move can unlock three or four subsequent plays.
Wild Cards can also help you out of a bind when no suitable moves remain. If the board becomes tricky, use a Wild Card to continue the sequence instead of drawing a new card from the deck.
Golf Solitaire Pro does not require complex controls; the real challenge lies in selecting the right card. When faced with multiple options, look for the card that will help reveal other cards currently hidden beneath the stack. A small decision early in the game can sometimes impact the entire sequence that follows.
You should also avoid drawing from the stock pile while there are still playable moves on the board. Drawing a new card breaks your current chain, so maintaining a long streak of consecutive moves often yields a better score.
The game ends when you run out of moves or stock pile is empty. You can review your picks and change your strategy after each round. Leaderboard and stats so you can keep track of your performance as well.
The game is golf course themed visually, background and subtle animations change. Thus, Golf Solitaire Pro maintains the relaxed atmosphere of a classic solitaire game, but at the same time provides you with clear objectives: clear the cards, keep your streak and try to beat your best score.
